Job overview and responsibilities

Provide leadership for establishing the strategic planning for the Cargo Logistics team. This includes using analytics to optimize the movement of ULD's (over 15,000 ULD assets) and the RFS trucking network ($60M in annual spend). Manage and lead team of analysts to set strategy and processes to steer ULD reposition efforts, optimizes RFS trucking network and drives efficiencies across the operation to maximize revenue and minimize cost.

  • Develop and enable long term strategy and real-time execution of the global logistics plan to ensure optimization of assets

  • Develop, maintain and continuously improve analytical insights, reporting, action and solutions to ensure optimization of assets

  • Remove barriers between Operations, Revenue Management, Sales and Cargo Logistics teammates to drive incremental business

  • Develop and enable long term strategy and real-time execution of the global logistics plan to ensure optimization of Road Feeder Service (RFS)

  • Develop, maintain and continuously improve analytical insights, reporting, action and solutions to drive RFS operational performance improvements and cost mitigation

  • Drive cooperation with trucking carriers to achieve incremental performance improvements through leveraging consistent performance reporting and reviews

  • Drive performance, make hiring decisions, provide oversight and dictate team direction for team of analysts

  • Develop team for success and future opportunities

Required

  • High School Diploma, GED or education equivalent

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience

  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, forecasting or related field

  • Analytical Tool and Data Visualization Proficiency (SQL, Spotfire, Tableau, etc.)

  • Advanced MS Products

  • Strategic thinking and progress improvement skills

  • Leadership, collaboration and ability to influence

  • Ability to present analytical information effectively

  • Ability to travel up to 15%

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Preferred

  • MBA or Advanced degree in Analytics or Finance

  • Financial reporting and budgetary knowledge

  • Alteryx experience

  • Project Management skills

  • Regression analysis, advanced analytics, forecasting
